About Betacap Scalp Application
Betacap Scalp Application contains the active ingredient betamethasone valerate 0.1%. Betamethasone valerate is classed as a topical steroid (topical corticosteroid) and is used for the treatment of inflammatory scalp disorders.
Inflammatory scalp conditions may occur when your immune system releases certain chemicals in response to your skin becoming irritated. These chemicals cause blood vessels in the surrounding area to dilate, causing the skin to become red and itchy, causing skin conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis and eczema. Betacap scalp solution blocks the release of the chemicals causing the inflammation, helping to reduce the swelling, and soothe the redness and itching.
Betacap Scalp Application is available with a prescription only. Now Patient offers Betacap Scalp Application as a treatment for psoriasis only, following an online consultation with a prescribing clinician.
