Can I use the NowPatient Virtual Care Platform to provide services to my own clients?
No. The NowPatient Virtual Care Platform can only be used to provide services to NowPatient customers.
As a UK licensed healthcare professional, will I be required to provide my own Indemnity Insurance?
Yes. UK law and your regulator require you to have adequate and appropriate professional indemnity that covers your full scope of your practice including remote/telehealth work.
You’re personally responsible for ensuring this cover is in place. It may be your own policy or employer-arranged cover, but you must confirm it explicitly includes your telehealth duties.
How Much Can I Expect to Earn?
Each service consultation has a price set by tariff. If you opt to provide a particular service, then you will be paid against that service fee. It’s very simple! The earnings are limitless and based on the time that you make available to provide services on the NowPatient Platform.
How Do I Get Paid?
When you onboard, you will provide your banking details and company information including VAT registration (UK Only), if applicable.
After you have completed each service booking, your home page will refresh to display your updated earnings. At the end of each month, you should navigate to the ‘Invoices’ section of the home page, from where you will be able to generate an invoice. Once the invoice has been generated, it will zero your earnings and a payment will be processed into your nominated bank account, within 3-5 working days.
How do I sign up to provide services?
Onboarding is simple. Most applicants complete the online onboarding process in 15–20 minutes, depending on the information required.
Click the ‘Get Started’ button and you will be directed to the Onboarding Landing Page. If you are onboarding for the first time, click the ‘Sign Up’ button, which will guide you through the onboarding steps. You can also click the ‘Need help? View our tutorial on how to sign up’ which will show you the entire process and what to expect.
Please be aware that you need the following information to hand, when onboarding:
- Personal details (name, date of birth, contact info)
- Proof of right to work - UK Only (ID, passport, etc.)
- Relevant qualifications or certifications

Can I use my own PC or Apple Mac to access your systems?
Yes, you can use your own machine, provided it meets our security requirements. To protect patient privacy and ensure the security of sensitive medical data, your device must:
- Be enrolled in JumpCloud for identity management
- Connect to our network through the approved VPN
These safeguards are in place because our software contains highly sensitive clinical and patient information. By ensuring all devices meet the same security standards, we reduce the risk of unauthorized access, data breaches, or malware infections that could compromise patient care.
If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be able to access the software remotely. We will assist you with setup and verification during onboarding.
Do I need specific equipment to be able to provide services through the NowPatient Virtual Care Platform?
There are minimum requirements to be able to use the NowPatient Virtual Care Platform. You will need:
- A device with audio and video capabilities (computer, tablet, or smartphone)
- A reliable internet connection
- A private, quiet space from where to conduct consultations
What is Scheduling and How Does it Work?
NowPatient works on the basis of connecting patients to clinicians, based on patient needs and clinician competencies. To make this work efficiently, we require you to submit your availability. This ensures that patients only book an appointment with you, if you are available.
To set your availability, simply navigate to ‘Appointments’ on the NowPatient Virtual Care Platform, then click ‘Add Shift’ to enter your available dates and times. This will then show as open slots to NowPatient users.

Yes. NowPatient’s Virtual Care Platform comes with comprehensive training and hands-on support so that you can deliver remote care confidently and safely.

What Happens If I Want to Screen Share Information from the NowPatient Virtual Care Platform?
This is strictly prohibited. We have sophisticated monitoring in place across our systems to ensure that data and commercial IP is always protected. If we identify any screen shares, grabs or copy; your access will be immediately revoked. We will investigate all incidents of copying Patient Identifiable Information (PII) or Personal Health Information (PHI) and report it to relevant regulatory bodies, including your professional registrar.

NowPatient’s Pharmaceutical services in the UK are provided by Infohealth Limited trading as ‘Infohealth Pharmacy’.
Our dispensing pharmacy is regulated and authorized for internet sales by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), registration number 1036487. You can view our license credentials on the General Pharmaceutical Council website.
