About
Ihtesham is a passionate advocate for mental health and during the Pandemic has been privileged to be a small part of the frontline response. He has a profound interest in human rights and speaks both nationally and internationally on a variety of issues. A student of Dulwich College, he completed his undergraduate degree in medicine at St.George’s London and trained in both psychiatry and general practice locally. He was a Senior Partner for several years in a London practice as well as being a GP Postgraduate tutor of Kent, Surrey & Sussex Deanery, and a former Royal College of GPs South-East Faculty Chair.
Currently, he is an OSCE examiner for Brighton Medical school, which allows him to put his experience in teaching into practice. He was an Associate Professor at Bucks New University and Programme Director of the PA studies. He is also a Visiting Senior Lecturer for Canterbury Christ University and one of the Admissions Examiners for Imperial College London
Ihtesham regularly speaks on public forums to help raise awareness of mental wellbeing, as well as being a speaker at Pulse Live. He currently works for the NHS, his lifelong passion, as well as being a Digital GP (since its inception), having worked with Babylon & Push Dr.
He is also the Medical Director for NowPatient and is responsible for the quality and safety of medical services provided to users.
