Learn more about reporting side effectsAbout Vaniqa cream
Vaniqa is a prescription-only cream containing eflornithine as the active ingredient. It is used to treat excess female facial hair (hirsutism) in adult women. Specifically, it is used to treat excessive hair growth on the upper lip, chin, and neck.
Vaniqa cream targets enzymes inside the hair follicle responsible for hair growth. Eflornithine, blocks the enzymes, slowing the production of new hair. In some cases, this can stop hair growth altogether.
Vaniqa cream is available with a prescription only. It is not available over the counter. NowPatient offers Vaniqa as a hair removal treatments, following an online consultation with a prescribing clinician.
