About Neditol XL

Neditol XL contains tolterodine tartrate, an antimuscarinic, as its active ingredient. It helps to reduce bladder muscle spasms and the urge to frequently urinate, caused by these spasms. Neditol XL is used to treat the symptoms of an overactive bladder, such as:

  • Urinary urgency (a sudden and urgent need to pee)
  • Urinary frequency (needing to pee more often than usual)
  • Urinary incontinence (wetting yourself)
  • Tolterodine relaxes muscles around your bladder, allowing your bladder to hold more liquid, stopping you from needing to pee as often or as urgently. It is available with a prescription as generic tolterodine or under brand names such as Detrusitol, and Neditol XL.

NowPatient offers generic tolterodine or the branded treatments for urinary incontinence only, following an online consultation with a prescribing clinician.

FAQs

Answers to Popular Questions About Neditol

What is Neditol?

Neditol is a brand name for generic tolterodine tartrate modified-release capsules (4 mg) used for treating overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms. Like Mariosea and Detrusitol XL, it contains the same active ingredient and is bioequivalent. Neditol provides once-daily dosing for the management of urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence. It is a prescription-only medicine available on the NHS.

How do I take Neditol?

Take one Neditol 4 mg capsule once daily with water, with or without food. Swallow whole — do not crush or chew. Take at a consistent time each day. Side effects, contraindications, and efficacy are identical to all other tolterodine modified-release products.

What are the side effects of Neditol?

Common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, headache, abdominal discomfort, and dry eyes. These are standard antimuscarinic side effects. If anticholinergic effects are problematic, especially in elderly patients, your prescriber may consider switching to mirabegron (Betmiga), which works through a different mechanism without anticholinergic side effects.

How can I get Neditol?

Neditol requires a prescription from your GP, urologist, or online prescriber such as NowPatient. It is available on the NHS and is one of several generic tolterodine MR brands that may be dispensed by pharmacies.

  • NowPatient is worth your time!

I do not leave reviews, due to time and a rare condition I have. I initially left a message, my call was returned within 2 hours or less. NowPatient offers 4 discount programs. I worked with Jay, he was genuine and wanted to help me all while giving me amazing customer service. Even though I didn't qualify, he gave me some suggestions and tips while encouraging me to follow up with the manufacturer along with other things I could do. This is the real deal, not a scam, and not a waste of your time. Amazing!! Thank you, Jay!
