Zevtera is a cephalosporin antibacterial indicated for the treatment of: Adult patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia) (SAB), including those with right-sided infective endocarditis Adult patients with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections (ABSSSI) Adult and pediatric patients (3 months to less than 18 years old) with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP)

Zevtera kills bacteria and works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall.
How do I take Zevtera?
Zevtera is given as an IV infusion every 6 to 8 hours by a healthcare provider.

Serious side effects are rare with Zevtera. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following: Seizures and other adverse central nervous system (CNS) reactions Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD)
Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on Zevtera
The following medications may interact with Zevtera: Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 1B1/1B3 (OATP1B1/OATP1B3) Substrates: Zevtera may increase the plasma concentrations of OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 substrates. Concomitant administration is not recommended.
