About Hezkue spray
Hezkue contains the active ingredient sildenafil, developed to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. Sildenafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Hezkue is available as an oromucosal spray.
Sildenafil is commonly prescribed to treat the condition erectile dysfunction, a condition in which sildenafil works by temporarily increasing the blood flow to the penis, during periods of sexual stimulation.
Sildenafil is available as a tablet with a prescription as generic sildenafil or under brand names Viagra, Liverize, Nipatra and Aronix. It is also available as the brand Viagra Connect, over the counter.
Sildenafil in certain doses is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (high blood pressure affecting blood vessels supplying the lungs) by relaxing blood vessels in the chest. It is available with a prescription under the brand names Revatio or Grandipam.
NowPatient offers Hezkue oromucosal spray as a treatment for erectile dysfunction following an online consultation with a prescriber.

FAQs
Answers to Popular Questions About Hezkue
What is Hezkue?
Hezkue is a brand of generic varenicline tartrate tablets available as 0.5 mg and 1 mg strengths, used for smoking cessation in adults. It is bioequivalent to the original branded Champix (Pfizer) and works through the same mechanism. Hezkue became available following the recall of Champix, offering an alternative generic supply of varenicline for patients wishing to use this medication to quit smoking. It is a prescription-only medicine.
How does Hezkue work?
Hezkue contains varenicline, a partial agonist at alpha-4 beta-2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It reduces cravings and withdrawal symptoms while simultaneously blocking the rewarding effects of nicotine if you smoke. This dual action makes varenicline the most effective single-agent smoking cessation medication available.
How do I take Hezkue?
Follow the same dosing schedule as Champix: Days 1–3: 0.5 mg once daily; Days 4–7: 0.5 mg twice daily; Day 8 onwards: 1 mg twice daily (this is your quit date). Continue for 12 weeks. Take with food and a full glass of water to reduce nausea. An additional 12 weeks may be prescribed to help prevent relapse.
What are the side effects of Hezkue?
Side effects are identical to all varenicline products: nausea (most common, ~30%), insomnia, abnormal/vivid dreams, headache, constipation, flatulence, and vomiting. These are generally mild and improve over the course of treatment. Taking Hezkue after meals reduces nausea. If side effects are intolerable, the dose can be reduced to 0.5 mg twice daily.
How can I get Hezkue?
Hezkue requires a prescription from your GP, NHS stop smoking service, or online prescriber such as NowPatient. Availability may vary. Combine with behavioural support from your local NHS stop smoking service for the best chance of quitting. NowPatient can check current stock availability and provide an online consultation.
