How does CLEOCIN work?
CLEOCIN is a lincosamide antibiotic. It treats infections by stopping bacteria from making proteins, which prevents the bacteria from growing and spreading.
How do I take CLEOCIN?
CLEOCIN capsules and solution are typically taken by mouth 3 to 4 times a day. CLEOCIN vaginal cream is applied intravaginally at bedtime for 3 to 7 days. CLEOCIN vaginal suppositories are inserted intravaginally at bedtime for 3 days.

- Severe allergic or skin reactions: skin peeling, blisters, rash, or redness, shortness of breath, chest tightness, swelling of your lips, tongue, or face, muscle weakness, body aches, cough, fever
Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on CLEOCIN
The following medications may interact with CLEOCIN:
- Inhibitors of CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 may increase the levels and effects of clindamycin and inducers of these isoenzymes may reduce the levels and effects of clindamycin
