What is Verquvo used for?
Verquvo is a sGC stimulator and is used to treat chronic (long-lasting) heart failure.
How does Verquvo work?
Verquvo is a soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator. It turns on (stimulates) a protein in your body called sGC. This relaxes the blood vessels in the body and allows more blood to flow through. As a result, the heart is able to pump better and doesn’t have to work as hard.
How do I take Verquvo?
Verquvo is typically started at 2.5 mg by mouth once daily with food. Your provider will raise your dose of Verquvo every few weeks as tolerated, to reach a target dose of 10 mg by mouth once daily.
Is it safe for me to take Verquvo?
Verquvo is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication in the following:
- Patients with concomitant use of other soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulators
- Pregnancy

Common side effects of Verquvo:
- Low blood pressure
- Low red blood cell count
Verquvo Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Verquvo. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Extremely low blood pressure: feeling like you’re going to pass out, dizziness, cold and sweaty skin

Verquvo during pregnancy. Health care providers should report any prenatal exposure to Verquvo by
calling 1-877-888-4231 or at pregnancy reporting
