What is VEOZAH used for?
VEOZAH is a neurokinin 3 (NK3) receptor antagonist that is used to treat moderate-to-severe hot flashes and night sweats due to menopause.
How does VEOZAH work?
VEOZAH blocks a chemical in the brain called neurokinin B from causing hot flashes (episodes of sweating and feeling hot).
How do I take VEOZAH?
VEOZAH is typically taken as 45 mg by mouth once daily.
Is it safe for me to take VEOZAH?
VEOZAH is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication in the following:
- Known cirrhosis
- Severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease
- Concomitant use with CYP1A2 inhibitors

Common side effects of VEOZAH:
- Stomach pain
- Diarrhea
- Trouble sleeping
- Back pain
- Hot flush
- Higher liver labs, suggesting liver irritation
VEOZAH Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with VEOZAH. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Serious liver damage: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, clay-colored stools
