What is TRUQAP used for?
TRUQAP is a kinase inhibitor indicated, in combination with fulvestrant for the treatment of adult patients with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative, locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer with one or more PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN-alterations as
detected by an FDA-approved test following progression on at least one endocrine-based regimen in the metastatic setting or recurrence on or within 12 months of completing adjuvant therapy.
How does TRUQAP work?
TRUQAP works by blocking a protein that causes cancer cells to grow and multiply. This helps to slow or stop the spread of cancer cells.
How do I take TRUQAP?
The recommended dose of TRUQAP is 400 mg orally twice daily, with or without food, for 4 days followed by 3 days off.

TRUQAP is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you.

TRUQAP Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with TRUQAP. Let your doctor know right away if you experience any of the following.
- High blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia)

Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on TRUQAP
The following medications may interact with TRUQAP:
- Strong CYP3A Inhibitors: Avoid concomitant use. If concomitant use cannot be avoided, reduce TRUQAP dose.
- Moderate CYP3A Inhibitors: Reduce TRUQAP dose
- Strong and Moderate CYP3A Inducers: Avoid concomitant use

Is TRUQAP safe in pregnancy?
TRUQAP can harm your unborn baby. Females who are able to become pregnant:
- Your healthcare provider will check to see if you are pregnant before you start treatment with TRUQAP
- You should use effective birth control during treatment with TRUQAP and for 1 month after the last dose
- Talk to your healthcare provider about birth control methods that may be right for you during this time.
If you become pregnant or think you are pregnant, tell your healthcare provider right away - Males with female partners who are able to become pregnant should use effective birth control during your treatment with TRUQAP and for 4 months after the last dose. If your female partner becomes pregnant, tell your healthcare provider right away
