Sorafenib is available as a 200 mg oral tablet.

Sorafenib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor and is used for the following:

• Liver cancer that can’t be removed by surgery
• Advanced kidney cancer
• Advanced or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer

Sorafenib is a targeted anticancer medication known as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It targets and blocks multiple proteins in cancer cells called kinases that are involved in tumor growth and tumor blood supply. By blocking these proteins, Sorafenib stops tumor growth.

The typical dose is 400 mg by mouth twice daily without food.

Sorafenib is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. • Serious liver problems: right-sided stomach pain, tiredness, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or eyes
