Risvan Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Risvan. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following: Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS): convulsions (seizures), difficulty with breathing, a fast heartbeat, a high fever, high or low blood pressure, increased sweating, loss of bladder control, severe muscle stiffness, unusually pale skin, or tiredness Tardive dyskinesia: lip smacking or puckering, puffing of the cheeks, rapid or worm-like movements of the tongue, uncontrolled chewing movements, or uncontrolled movements of the arms and legs Elevated blood sugar: increased thirst or increased urination Infections: fever or chills, cough or hoarseness, lower back or side pain, or painful or difficult urination
Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on Risvan
The following medications may interact with Risvan: Strong CYP2D6 inhibitors: Increase risperidone plasma concentration. Strong CYP3A4 inducers: Decrease plasma concentrations of risperidone.
