What is NYVEPRIA?
NYVEPRIA is the brand name for pegfilgrastim-apgf and is available and is available as a subcutaneous injection.
What dosages is NYVEPRIA available in?
NYVEPRIA is available as a 6 mg/0.6 mL solution in a single-dose prefilled syringe.
What is NYVEPRIA used for?
NYVEPRIA is a colony-stimulating factor and is used for the following:
- Infection prevention in people with certain cancers receiving anticancer medications that can cause low white blood cells (or febrile neutropenia)
- Increase survival in people exposed to bone marrow-suppressing radiation (Neulasta only)
How does NYVEPRIA work?
NYVEPRIA is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). It works like the G-CSF protein that you naturally have in your body. G-CSF stimulates (triggers) your bone marrow to make neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that helps your body fight infections.
How do I take NYVEPRIA?
Patients with cancer receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy
- 6 mg administered subcutaneously once per chemotherapy cycle. (2.1)
- Do not administer between 14 days before and 24 hours after administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy
Is it safe for me to take NYVEPRIA?
NYVEPRIA is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you are a patient with a history of serious allergic reactions to human granulocyte colony-stimulating factors such as pegfilgrastim products or filgrastim products.

Common side effects of NYVEPRIA:
- Bone pain
- Pain in arms and legs
NYVEPRIA Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with NYVEPRIA. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
- Ruptured spleen: pain in your left upper stomach or shoulder
- Serious allergic reaction: rash, trouble breathing, swelling of your tongue, lips, or throat
