How does NORFLEX work?
NORFLEX is a muscle relaxant. It’s unclear how the medication works, but we know that it doesn’t work directly on your muscles. Orphenadrine is thought to relieve muscle pain by working in the nervous system to block nerve signals between your spinal cord and muscles.
How do I take NORFLEX?
NORFLEX is typically taken as 100 mg by mouth in the morning and in the evening.
Is it safe for me to take NORFLEX?
NORFLEX is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have glaucoma, pyloric or duodenal obstruction, stenosing peptic ulcers, prostatic hypertrophy or obstruction of the bladder neck, cardio-spasm (megaesophagus)
or myasthenia gravis.

NORFLEX Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with NORFLEX.Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Accidentally taking too much (overdose): fast heartbeat, flushing, extreme sleepiness, hallucinations, changes in vision, distress, confusion
Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on NORFLEX
The following medications may interact with NORFLEX:
- Confusion, anxiety and tremors have been reported in patients receiving propoxyphene and NORFLEX concomitantly; as symptoms may be simply due to an additive effect, reduction of dosage and/or discontinuation of one or both agents is recommended in such cases
