How does Iwilfin work?
Iwilfin works by blocking an enzyme called ornithine decarboxylase (ODC). This action disrupts the production of polyamines, which are substances essential for the growth and proliferation of cancer cells, particularly in neuroblastoma tumors.
How do I take Iwilfin?
Iwilfin is dosed based on body surface area. It is typically taken by mouth twice daily with or without food until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or for a maximum of two years.

- Liver problems: yellowing of your skin or the white part of your eyes (jaundice), nausea or vomiting, easy bruising or bleeding, dark colored urine, loss of appetite, light-colored stools, right side abdominal pain

Females who can get pregnant should have a pregnancy test before starting treatment. You should use effective birth control during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose. Males who have female partners that can get pregnant should use effective birth control during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose.
