What is EVENITY?
EVENITY is the brand name for romosozumab-aqqg subcutaneous injection.
What dosages is EVENITY available in?
EVENITY is available as a 105 mg/1.17 mL solution in a single-use prefilled syringe.
What is EVENITY used for?
EVENITY is a sclerostin inhibitor that is used to treat bone loss (osteoporosis) in women after menopause:
- With high risk for fracture
- Who can’t take other medications for bone loss
- Who tried other medications for bone loss that didn’t work
How does EVENITY work?
EVENITY is a sclerostin inhibitor, which means it blocks sclerostin from working. Sclerostin is a protein in your body that normally stops bone growth and promotes bone decay. So by blocking sclerostin, this medication helps your bones grow and prevents bone breakdown at the same time.
How do I take EVENITY?
This medication needs to be given by your healthcare provider. The typical dose is two injections (210 mg total) under the skin once a month for 12 months.
Is it safe for me to take EVENITY?
EVENITY is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have low calcium levels (hypocalcemia).

- Joint pain
- Headache
EVENITY Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with EVENITY. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Heart attack: chest pain; shortness of breath; feeling dizzy
- Stroke: headache; vision changes; loss of balance; trouble talking; weakness or numbness in the arms, legs, or face, especially if happening on only one side of the body
- Allergic reaction: hives; rash; swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or tongue; difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Fractures in the thigh: dull or aching pain in the thigh, hip, or groin
