What is Etanercept-Szzs used for?
Etanercept-Szzs is a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker used to treat:
- Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
- Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in patients aged 2 years or older
- Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)
- Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS)
- Plaque Psoriasis (PsO) in patients 4 years or older
How does Etanercept-Szzs work?
Etanercept-Szzs is a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker. It binds to a protein called TNF and blocks inflammation to help with symptoms of certain types of arthritis and skin conditions.
How do I take Etanercept-Szzs?
Etanercept-Szzs is typically dosed as follows:
- Adults with RA and PsA: 50 mg once weekly with or without methotrexate (MTX)
- AS: 50 mg once weekly
- Adult PsO:50 mg twice weekly for 3 months, followed by 50 mg once weekly
- Pediatric PsO or JIA (patients
- Who weigh > 63 kg (138 pounds)
- Or more): 50 mg once weekly
