Erelzi is available as a 25 mg/0.5 mL and 50 mg/mL solution in a single-dose prefilled syringe or a 50 mg/mL solution in single-dose prefilled pen.
What is Erelzi used for?
Erelzi is a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker used to treat:
- Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
- Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in patients aged 2 years or older
- Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)
- Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS)
- Plaque Psoriasis (PsO) in patients 4 years or older
How does Erelzi work?
Erelzi is a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker. It binds to a protein called TNF and blocks inflammation to help with symptoms of certain types of arthritis and skin conditions.
How do I take Erelzi?
Erelzi is typically dosed as follows:
- Adults with RA and PsA: 50 mg once weekly with or without methotrexate (MTX)
- AS: 50 mg once weekly
- Adult PsO:50 mg twice weekly for 3 months, followed by 50 mg once weekly
- Pediatric PsO or JIA (patients
- Who weigh > 63 kg (138 pounds)
- Or more): 50 mg once weekly
Is it safe for me to take Erelzi?
Erelzi is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication in the following:
- Sepsis

Common side effects of Erelzi:
- Infections
- Injection site reactions
Erelzi Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Erelzi. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following:
- Serious infections: High fever, difficulty breathing, cough that won’t go away, night sweats, confusion
- Allergic reactions: Difficulty breathing, face swelling, fast heartbeat, severe rash
- Worsening or new congestive heart failure

Is Erelzi safe in pregnancy?
It is not known whether this medication is safe for you and your unborn baby during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor if you are already pregnant or if you have plans on becoming pregnant. They will recommend what is best for you. If you took Erelzi during pregnancy, talk to your doctor prior to givng a live vaccine to your infant.
