Eletriptan Hydrobromide is available as oral tablets in the following strengths:

Eletriptan Hydrobromide is used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura, in adults. It is not used to prevent migraines or to treat other types of headaches (such as cluster headaches).

Eletriptan Hydrobromide works by narrowing blood vessels around the brain and reducing the release of factors that trigger migraine symptoms such as pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. It helps relieve headache, nausea, and other migraine symptoms once a migraine has started.

The usual starting dose is 20 mg or 40 mg by mouth as soon as migraine symptoms begin.

If the migraine returns after initial relief, you may take a second dose at least 2 hours after the first dose.

Do not take more than 80 mg in a 24-hour period.

Eletriptan Hydrobromide is generally safe and effective for most people when used as directed. However, it may not be suitable if you have certain health conditions.
