How does DITROPAN work?
DITROPAN is an anticholinergic and antimuscarinic medication that relaxes the muscles in your bladder. Relaxed bladder muscles have fewer spasms, and this eases your need to urinate.
How do I take DITROPAN?
DITROPAN is typically taken by mouth up to a maximum dose of 5 mg by mouth 4 times a day.
Is it safe for me to take DITROPAN?
DITROPAN is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have urinary retention, gastric retention and other severe decreased gastrointestinal motility conditions, or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.

- Co-administration with other anticholinergic drugs may increase the frequency and/or severity of anticholinergic-like effects
- Co-administration with strong cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole) increases the systemic exposure of oxybutynin
