- Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants may potentiate effect of salmeterol on the cardiovascular system
- Strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors such as ritonavir, ketoconazole can increse the risk of cardiovascular effects. diuretics, or non-potassium sparing diuretics may potentiate hypokalemia or ECG changes
