Tavalisse is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. When Tavalisse blocks tyrosine kinases (a type of protein) in your spleen, it stops antibodies in your immune system from destroying your platelets.

Tavalisse is typically started as 100 mg by mouth twice daily with or without food. After 4 weeks, increase to 150 mg twice daily, if needed, based on your platelet levels.

Common side effects of Tavalisse:
