Do you accept commercial, Medicare or Medicaid coverage for tamsulosin in the US?

No. Currently, we only offer cash-based options for purchase, therefore we do not require your insurance benefit details. What should you do if you use too much tamsulosin?

Call your doctor right away or seek immediate medical attention if your symptoms do not improve or they become worse after using tamsulosin. You can also call 800-222-1222 to reach the American Association of Poison Control Centers or use its online resource if you think you’ve used too much tamsulosin. But if you have severe symptoms, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

Side effects

In clinical trials common side effects of tamsulosin may include dizziness, blurred vision, lightheadedness, drowsiness, a runny or blocked nose, or abnormal ejaculation. Get medical help right away if you have any serious side effects such as an allergic reaction. Symptoms include hives, trouble breathing, shortness of breath, sore throat, chest pain, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, skin rash, and severe skin reactions. Promptly report any adverse effects to a healthcare professional for medical advice.

Interactions with other drugs

Tamsulosin may interact with certain medications, including other alpha blockers used to treat high blood pressure (such as alfuzosin, doxazosin, prazosin, silodosin, and terazosin), cimetidine, and medications for erectile dysfunction such as sildenafil, tadalafil, or vardenafil.  It is important to inform your healthcare provider about all the prescription drugs, over the counter nonprescription medication, salt substitutes, supplements, and vitamins you are taking to avoid potential adverse effects and drug interactions.
