Symjepi is a single-dose, pre-filled syringe containing 0.3 mg/0.3 mL of epinephrine.
What is Symjepi used for?
Symjepi is a non-selective alpha and betaadrenergic receptor agonist, used in the emergency treatment of allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
How does Symjepi work?
Symjepi contains epinephrine, which is also known as the hormone adrenaline. It is used during allergic reactions to keep your blood pressure from dropping too low, raise your heart rate, and opens your lungs so you can breathe normally. It also helps with swelling, itching, rashes, hives, and stomach issues caused by an allergic reaction.
How do I take Symjepi?
For patients equal to or greater than 30 kg (66 lbs), inject Symjepi into the muscle or under the skin in the middle of the outer thigh (even through clothing) and call 911.
Is it safe for me to take Symjepi?
Symjepi is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you.

- High blood pressure: headache, chest pain, dizziness, blurry vision
- Serious infection at injection site: skin redness, tenderness, swelling, warmth
