Ravulizumab-Cwvz is a complement inhibitor indicated for:

• Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) in adults and children ages 1 month and older

Ravulizumab-Cwvz is a monoclonal antibody that works as an complement inhibitor. The exact way that the medication works isn’t completely clear. But it’s thought to block complement proteins called C5. This helps stop your immune system from being overactive and from attacking different parts of your body.

Treatment starts with a loading dose of Ravulizumab-Cwvz. It then continues with routine maintenance doses, generally starting 2 weeks after the loading dose, and given every 1 or 2 months.

• Urinary tract infection

Serious side effects are rare with Ravulizumab-Cwvz. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following:

• Serious infections (including meningococcal infections): fever, weakness, chills, trouble breathing, cough, diarrhea, stomach pain, burning when you urinate, urinating more or less often, neck pain, neck stiffness, confusion, severe headache
• Severe allergic reaction: rash, trouble breathing, feeling faint, swelling of the face or throat

The following medications may interact with Ravulizumab-Cwvz:

• Plasma exchange, plasmapheresis, or IV immunoglobulins
• Neonatal Fc receptor blockers
