Do I need a prescription for Pradaxa?

Yes, Pradaxa is only available with a valid physician Rx.

How much does Pradaxa cost without insurance?

Our website gives savings options to US customers who wish to purchase Pradaxa, as either a brand or generic, without the constraints of insurance. By using the NowPatient Rx Advantage Card, users can save up to 90% on their medication. The NowPatient Rx Advantage Card can be used at over 65,000 pharmacies nationwide, across America. Even if you are insured, in most cases the cash price will be significantly cheaper than your existing copay.

What will my out-of-pocket cost be for Pradaxa?

Your out-of-pocket (OOP) cost will effectively be the discounted cash price you pay for Pradaxa using the Rx Advantage Card. Your OOP expense can not be used against your plan deductible, if your plan has a deductible.

Does NowPatient handle Rx transfers for Pradaxa if I want my medication delivered to my home?

Not at this time. However, we are planning to launch this service very soon. When we launch our US mail order pharmacy, we will be able ro handle requests by you to have your prescription transferred to our pharmacy for home delivery. We will even be able to help you manage your Pradaxa refills by giving you timely reminders, so you do not run out of your medication.

Is NowPatient a Pradaxa coupon provider in the US?

No. NowPatient does not provide Pradaxa coupons or FREE Pradaxa samples. However, we are able to provide you will information about how and where you can obtain coupons.

Can I use Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid Insurance if I buy Pradaxa from NowPatient?

No. Currently, we only offer out of pocket cash options for Pradaxa, therefore we do not require your insurance details. In the future, our plan is to be able to handle commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid and even including cases where you have multiple health plans that provide benefit (e.g. Medicaid and Commercial). We also anticipate being able to handle more complex scenarios such as using primary insurance combined with a manufacturer Pradaxa copay assistance program.

Does NowPatient work with Medicare?

Our Pradaxa out of pocket cash prices for medications can be cheaper than Medicare copays. We do not bill Medicare Part D (standalone drug coverage) or Medicare Advantage (combined health and drug benefit). When you purchase your medication from NowPatient, you will be doing so out of your pocket. The spend will not count towards your plan deductibles or gaps.

Does NowPatient work with Commercial Insurance?

Our out of pocket Pradaxa cash prices are typically cheaper than commercial plan copays. We do not bill your commercial plan. When you purchase your medication from NowPatient, you will be doing so out of your pocket. The spend will not count towards your plan deductibles or gaps.

What are the prescription savings for Pradaxa using the NowPatient Rx Advantage Card?

You will need to sign up to the service, which is FREE. After you have signed up you can locate the Rx Advantage card feature, from where you will be able to search for Pradaxa. You will then be presented with the nearest pharmacies or drugstores who accept our card along with the prices. When you are satisfied with the price, simply go to the pharmacy and fill your Pradaxa Rx. Ask the pharmacy to run the card and check the price, even if they tell you they have another card they use. Your card is stored safely in your NowPatient account.

Do I need to pay for the Rx Advantage Card?

No. NowPatient Rx Advantage prescription savings card is free to use and store for NowPatient users.

What should I do if I take too much Pradaxa?

Call your doctor right away or seek immediate medical attention if your symptoms do not improve or they become worse after using Pradaxa. You can also call 800-222-1222 to reach the American Association of Poison Control Centers or use its online resource if you think you’ve used too much Pradaxa. But if you have severe symptoms, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

What should I do if I miss my dose?

There are occasions when people forget to take their medication at correct prescribed times. This may not only have an effect on potentially making the medication less effective but it may also inadvertently lead to taking doses too close together, thereby increasing the risks of side effects.
