PRADAXA is a direct thrombin inhibitor anticoagulant (blood thinner) that stops blood clots from forming in your body so you’re less likely to have a stroke or heart attack.
How do I take PRADAXA?
PRADAXA is typically taken as 75 mg to 150 mg by mouth once or twice daily, depending on how healthy your kidneys are.
Is it safe for me to take PRADAXA?
PRADAXA is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have:
Active pathological bleeding.

Major bleeding or large loss of blood, especially with surgery
