Nemolizumab-Ilto is an interleukin-31 receptor antagonist. IL-31 is a protein that triggers intense itching and skin inflammation, among other effects. By blocking IL-31, Nemolizumab-Ilto helps reduce the urge to scratch. This can, in turn, prevent the development of new nodules (bumps).
How do I take Nemolizumab-Ilto?
Nemolizumab-Ilto is typically dosed as follows:
- Prurigo Nodularis
- Adult Patients Weighing Less Than 90kg: An initial dose of 60 mg (two 30 mg injections), followed by 30 mg
- Given every 4 weeks.
- Adult Patients Weighing 90kg or More: An initial dose of 60 mg (two 30 mg injections), followed by 60 mg
- Given every 4 weeks.
- Atopic Dermatitis
