LOTEMAX EYE SUSPENSION is a steroid medication for your eyes. It helps block chemicals in the eye that cause inflammation, itching, and redness.
How do I take LOTEMAX EYE SUSPENSION?
LOTEMAX EYE SUSPENSION is dosed as follows:
- Eye inflammation conditions: Place 1 to 2 drops of the 0.5% suspension into the affected eye(s) four times daily. During the first week, you may need to use it as often as one drop every hour. Continue using it until your provider tells you to stop
Inflammation and pain after eye surgery:
- Place 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) four times daily. Start 24 hours after surgery and continue it for a total of two weeks

LOTEMAX EYE SUSPENSION is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have any viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva including epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, and
varicella, and also in mycobacterial infection of the eye and fungal diseases of ocular structures. LOTEMAX EYE SUSPENSION is also contraindicated in individuals with known or suspected hypersensitivity to any of the
ingredients of this preparation and to other corticosteroids.
