Filgrastim-Ayow is available in a single use pre-filled graduated syringe in two sizes:

• 300 mcg/0.5 mL and 480 mcg/0.8 mL.

Filgrastim-Ayow is used to help raise white blood cell (WBC) count during chemotherapy treatment.

Filgrastim-Ayow works by mimicking a naturally occurring human protein to stimulate the bone marrow to produce more white blood cells, specifically neutrophils. This action helps the body fight infection and is used primarily to treat or prevent neutropenia (a low count of neutrophils).

Filgrastim-Ayow is usually started at least 24 hours after chemotherapy. The recommended starting dose in adult patients is 5 to 10 mcg/kg/day.

Filgrastim-Ayow is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. • Kidney damage: swelling of face or ankles, dark colored urine, blood in urine, urinating less
