Efinaconazole is an azole antifungal medication. It works by stopping the fungus from being able to make a protective covering. This causes the fungus to not grow or survive.

Efinaconazole is dosed as follows:

• Adults and children (ages 6 years and older): The typical dose is to apply to the affected toenail(s) once daily for 48 weeks (over 11 months) using the brush applicator. Make sure to apply enough of the medication to cover the area directly on, underneath, and around the toenail
