You should not take this medication if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of its components or to lincomycin. It is also contraindicated in those having a history of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis.

Common side effects of Duac include:

• Redness
• Itching
• Burning
• Stinging

Serious side effects are rare with Duac. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following. Inflammation of your large intestine: diarrhea that does not go away, especially if it is bloody, severe stomach cramps

The following medications may interact with Duac:

• Aminolevulinic acid, porfimer, and verteporfin – May increase photosensitivity and toxicity
