It blocks histamine, a natural chemical in your body that can cause allergy symptoms, like itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and hives. By blocking histamine, Clarinex-D helps relieve allergy symptoms. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant. It tightens blood vessels in the nose to relieve sinus pressure and help congestion.
