How does Aflibercept-JBVF work?
Aflibercept-JBVF is an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF). It works by blocking VEGF, a protein that causes abnormal blood vessels to grow in the eye and leak fluid. This fluid leakage can damage the retina and affect vision, potentially leading to vision loss. By blocking VEGF, it can help prevent vision loss in certain conditions.
How do I take Aflibercept-JBVF?
Aflibercept-JBVF is given as a 2 mg (0.05 mL of 40 mg/mL solution) injection in your eye every 4 weeks. Your dose may be then given every 8 weeks after a certain number of doses depending on the condition being treated.
