How do I take Admelog?
Admelog is dosed as follows:
- The dose of Admelog will be different for each person. The dose depends on whether you’re using it for type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes, your weight, how well you respond to insulin, your blood sugar levels, and if you’re administering the medication through an injection or through a continuous insulin pump. Your healthcare provider will determine the dose that works best for you.
- Subcutaneous (SC) injection: Admelog is typically injected under the skin within 15 minutes before a meal or right after a meal
- Intravenous (IV) injection: Admelog can be given through an IV injection by a healthcare provider. The dose depends on the condition being treated and your weight
- Continuous insulin pump: Refer to the instructions from your insulin pump manufacturer

- Drugs that Affect Glucose Metabolism: Adjustment of insulin dosage may be needed
- Antiadrenergic Drugs (e.g., beta-blockers, clonidine, guanethidine, and reserpine): Signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia may be reduced or absent
