What is Aciphex used for?
Aciphex is proton pump inhibitor that is used to treat stomach or duodenal ulcers, to lower the risk of duodenal ulcer(s) caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, or other medical conditions that cause too much stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome in adults. It is also indicated for adults and children 12 years and older to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
How does Aciphex work?
Aciphex lowers the amount of acid in your stomach by blocking the final step of stomach acid production. This helps relieve heartburn and other stomach problems.
How do I take Aciphex?
ACHIPHEX is typically taken once daily with or without food.

Serious side effects are rare with Aciphex. Contact your physician if you experience severe stomach pain or diarrhea, kidney problems such as urinating more or less than usual, fever, poor appetite; lupus symptoms such as joint pain, skin rash on arms or cheeks that gets worse in the sunlight or serious skin reactions such as blistering, peeling, or bleeding skin, fever, chills.
