How does Abrysvo work?
Abrysvo is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine, meaning pieces of the virus are made and put into the vaccine. It helps protect you from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection by triggering your immune system to make proteins called antibodies against the virus. These antibodies will help prevent infection by attacking the virus if it ever infects your body.
How do I take Abrysvo?
Abrysvo is dosed as 0.5 mL injected into the muscle by a healthcare provider.

Is Abrysvo safe in pregnancy?
Abrysvo is a vaccine indicated for active immunization of pregnant individuals at 32 through 36 weeks
gestational age for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) and severe LRTD caused by
respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in infants from birth through 6 months of age. There is a pregnancy exposure registry that monitors pregnancy outcomes in individuals exposed to Abrysvo during pregnancy. Individuals who received Abrysvo during pregnancy are encouraged to contact, or have their healthcare provider contact, 1-800-616-3791 to enroll in or obtain information about the registry.
