What is Zylet?
Zylet is the brand name for loteprednol etabonate/tobramycin ophthalmic suspension.

Zylet is available as an ophthalmic suspension that contains 0.5% of loteprednol etabonate and 0.3% of tobramycin.
What is Zylet used for?
Zylet is an antibiotic / corticosteroid and is used fir the following:
- Inflamed eyes that have a bacterial infection
- Inflamed eyes that could become infected with bacteria
How does Zylet work?
Zylet contains two ingredients that work together to treat or prevent inflammation and bacterial infections of the eye. Loteprednol, a corticosteroid, lessens eye inflammation and relieves eye pain. Tobramycin, an antibiotic, prevents bacteria from making the nutrients they need to survive.
How do I take Zylet?
Place 1 to 2 drops inside the lower eyelid(s) of the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours. For the first couple days, you may need to start off using Zylet every 1 to 2 hours, then use it less often as your symptoms improve.
Is it safe for me to take Zylet?
Zylet is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. You should not use this medication if you have viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva including epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, and varicella, and also
in mycobacterial infection of the eye and fungal diseases of ocular structures.

Zylet Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Zylet. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- High eye pressure, injury, or infection: eye pain, discomfort, or change in vision that doesn’t go away
- Allergic reaction
