Insulin Lispro-AABC is an insulin. Insulin is a natural hormone your body normally makes to lower glucose (sugar) levels in the blood. It helps your body absorb and store sugar from your bloodstream after eating a meal. It also stops your liver from making glucose.
How do I take Insulin Lispro-AABC?
- The dose of Insulin Lispro-AABC will be different for each person. The dose depends on whether you’re using it for type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes, your weight, how well you respond to insulin, your blood sugar levels, and if you’re administering the medication through an injection or through a continuous insulin pump. Your healthcare provider will determine the dose that works best for you
- Injection: Insulin Lispro-AABC is typically injected under the skin (subcutaneously) at the start of a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal
- Continuous insulin pump (for Insulin Lispro-AABC U-100 only): Refer to the instructions from your insulin pump manufacturer. Don’t use Insulin Lispro-AABC U-200 in an insulin pump
