- People who are well controlled on an HIV ARV regimen, have a viral load of less than 50, and want to switch regimens
How does Delstrigo work?
Delstrigo is an HIV ARV combination medication. It contains three medications that prevent HIV from infecting your cells and making copies of itself. Doravirine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). It stops reverse transcriptase, an important enzyme needed for the virus to make DNA (genetic material). Lamivudine and tenofovir are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). They insert themselves into the virus’ DNA and stop the DNA-making process.
How do I take Delstrigo?

Is it safe for me to take Delstrigo?
Delstrigo is a safe and effective treatment when used for FDA licensed indications. However, like all medications, they may give you unwanted side effects. You should always discuss potential side effects with your physician to ensure the medication is suitable and right for you. Delstrigo is contraindicated when co-administered with drugs that
are strong cytochrome P450 (CYP)3A enzyme inducers as significant decreases in doravirine plasma concentrations may occur, which may decrease the effectiveness of Delstrigo.
Delstrigo is contraindicated in patients with a previous
hypersensitivity reaction to lamivudine.
