Camzyos is the brand name medication for the drug mavacamten. It is the first and only FDA-approved cardiac myosin inhibitor that specifically targets the source of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).

Camzyos is prescribed to be taken once a day, swalloed whole. Before you are first prescribed Camzyos, your healthcare provider will do an echocardiogram (echo) to assess your obstructive HCM.

Camzyos Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Camzyos. However, If you do notice symptoms of shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue
racing heart (palpitations), leg swelling, rapid weight gain then you should contact your physician as a matter of urgency. This could be a sign of heart failure (a condition where the heart cannot pump with enough force).
