How does ATROVENT HFA work?
ATROVENT HFA is a short-acting inhaled anticholinergic medication that works by blocking a chemical called acetylcholine from attaching to receptors in your lungs. By blocking this chemical, ATROVENT HFA relaxes the muscles in your airways to make it easier to breathe.
How do I take ATROVENT HFA?
ATROVENT HFA is typically taken as 2 inhalations by mouth 4 times daily. Your physician may increase your dose up to a maximum of 12 inhalations in a 24-hour period.

- Sudden narrowing of your airways: difficulty breathing, wheezing, chest pain or tightness, cough

- Anticholinergics – May interact additively with concomitantly usedanticholinergic medications. Avoid administration of ATROVENT HFA with other anticholinergic-containing drugs
