Copanlisib Common Side Effects
Common side effects of Copanlisib:
- Diarrhea
- Low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia)

- Lower respiratory tract infection
- Nausea
Copanlisib Serious Side Effects
Serious side effects are rare with Copanlisib. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.
- Allergic reactions—skin rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Dry cough, shortness of breath or trouble breathing.
High blood sugar (hyperglycemia)—increased thirst or amount of urine, unusual weakness or fatigue, blurry vision - Increase in blood pressure
- Infection—fever, chills, cough, sore throat, wounds that don’t heal, pain or trouble when passing urine, general feeling of discomfort or being unwell
- Redness, blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth
- Unusual bruising or bleeding
Effects of other drugs, drug classes and over-the-counter products on Copanlisib
The following medications may interact with Copanlisib:
- CYP3A Inducers: Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A inducers
- CYP3A Inhibitors: Reduce the Copanlisib dose to 45 mg when concomitantly administered with strong CYP3A inhibitors

Is Copanlisib safe in pregnancy?
Copanlisib can harm your unborn baby. Your healthcare provider will do a pregnancy test before starting treatment with Copanlisib. Females who are able to become pregnant should use effective birth control (contraception) during treatment with Copanlisib and for 1 month after the last dose of Copanlisib. Talk to your healthcare provider about birth control methods that may be right for you. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you become pregnant or think you are pregnant during treatment with Copanlisib.
Males with female partners who are able to become pregnant should use effective birth control (contraception) during treatment with Copanlisib and for 1 month after the last dose of Copanlisib.
