FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About Nicorette Quickmist 1mg/Dose Mouthspray Cool Berry for Quitting Smoking
What is Nicorette QuickMist and how does it help you quit smoking?
Nicorette QuickMist is a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) mouth spray that delivers 1 mg of nicotine per spray directly to the lining of the mouth. It provides one of the fastest craving relief of any oral NRT product — you can feel the effect within 60 seconds. Available in Freshmint and Cool Berry flavours, as well as the SmartTrack version which connects to a smartphone app to track usage. Available through the NHS Quit Smoking service.
How do I use Nicorette QuickMist?
Spray into the inside of the cheek (not towards the throat). Use 1–2 sprays when you would normally smoke or when you have a craving. Allow 15 seconds between sprays. Do not inhale while spraying. Maximum 2 sprays per episode, maximum 4 sprays per hour, and maximum 64 sprays per day. Do not eat or drink for a few seconds after spraying. Use for up to 12 weeks, then gradually reduce.
Can I get Nicorette QuickMist through the NHS Quit Smoking service?
Yes, Nicorette QuickMist (Freshmint, Cool Berry, and SmartTrack varieties) are all available through the NHS Quit Smoking service at community pharmacies. The SmartTrack version includes an app that monitors your sprays and tracks your quit progress.
What are the side effects of Nicorette QuickMist?
Common side effects include tingling in the mouth, hiccups, nausea, throat irritation, and a burning sensation. These are usually mild and settle with continued use. Spraying too frequently or too many sprays at once can cause nausea and hiccups. Avoid spraying towards the back of the throat.
What is the Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack?
The SmartTrack version has the same nicotine mouth spray formulation but includes a sensor in the dispenser that connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone app. The app tracks your spray usage, monitors your quit progress, and provides motivational support. It helps you visualise your reduction in nicotine use over time. The nicotine dose and usage instructions are identical to standard QuickMist.
